Requirements
  • A High School diploma/GED or three years of required experience in telephone and customer service skills, which may include experience in the Armed Forces.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Experience in remote customer service, electronics, laboratory or biomedical technology, military experience in a technical field, or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency with MS skills, networking, and CFM software is required.
  • The ability to explain and interpret complex information with patience and understanding is required.
  • Telephone and customer service skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct technical assistance to customers over a toll-free telephone hotline.
  • Remotely upgrade software, troubleshoot issues to resolution, and document customer calls within the customer relationship management system.
  • Maintain and conform to procedures and documentation meeting regulatory and International Organization for Standardization guidelines, including validating all analyzers before releasing them to customers to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Maintain inventory and shipping processes for instrumentation and necessary parts supporting the Service Center.
  • Adhere to strict decontamination guidelines when receiving customer-returned units.
  • Manage inventory of parts, tools, consumables, and reagents at the Service Center.
  • Follow proper guidelines for handling and storing biohazard materials.
  • Support dock management with shipping and receiving packages for Mundelein Building 1.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
