Job Description:
Arizona PBS Education & Community Impact department provides services throughout all of Maricopa County. This project is grant funded from First Things First. We are searching for a Coordinator/Regional Outreach Coordinator who is located/living in Maricopa County area of Arizona to provide outreach, marketing and technical assistance for the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry and the FTF College Scholarship Program.
Salary: $52, 000 per year
Essential Duties:
Build relationships with the early childhood community within the region so that early childhood professionals develop a comfort level with the Arizona Registry, FTF Scholarship Program and Arizona PBS education services.
Provide Registry and FTF Scholarship T/A to the region’s early childhood professionals, teachers, center directors and those who work on behalf of the early childhood profession.
Assist and work closely with early childhood faculty, department chairs and college liaisons at any and all institutes of higher education in the region.
Participate in the region’s early childhood system, such as: attend the region’s FTF Regional Partnership Council meetings, sit on early childhood local committees as necessary, participate in the region’s early childhood conference planning.
Ability and willingness to drive, using personal vehicle, the vast distances within Maricopa County.
Desired Qualifications:
Living in the Maricopa County, Arizona
Evidence of having a Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or closely related field as detailed in the FTF Registry Standards of Practice (azearlychildhood.org)
Demonstrated project management experience
Experience in facilitating adult learning experiences
Experience in building relationships in the community
Evidence of effective communication skills
Evidence of organizational and time management skills
Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Documents
Experience using online systems
Demonstrated knowledge of the Arizona Early Childhood Registry
Working Environment:
Our office is located in Phoenix, AZ, but this positions' activities will include travel throughout Maricopa County, meetings at partner sites and facilitating events and workshops.
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Must clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
