THE ROLE:

We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Natural Gas Options Trader with a proven track record to join our Options Market Making team. The successful candidate will build out a Natural Gas Desk to complement our existing energy operations. This is a permanent, full-time position available in London, Chicago, or Amsterdam.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Desk setup: Set up the Natural gas Options desk, developing strategic and analytical frameworks and optimising trading systems
• Trading oversight: Take day-to-day ownership of the Natural Gas Options trading book, managing all relevant market-making activities traded on CME
• Leadership: Defining strategic desk goals and ensuring alignment within the team. Supporting development of junior traders through teaching, constant feedback and embodying our core values.
• Risk Management: Proactive management of desk risks, maintaining rigorous risk management practices and contributing to improvements in firmwide risk frameworks.
• Strategy Development: Drive improvements to new and existing trading strategies through continuous cycles of analysis and prototyping, working in collaboration with our technologists and researchers.
• Compliance: To comply with all applicable Compliance policies, procedures, laws and regulations

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS:

• Previous Experience: Demonstrated expertise in trading Natural Gas Options.
• Proven Success: Solid track record of achieving positive P&L and expanding market share.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of trading systems, with desirable programming skills.
• Analytical Abilities: Outstanding numerical and analytical capabilities.
• Strategy Development: Familiarity with automated options trading strategies and a proactive interest in their development and optimization.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent individual and team problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly react to emerging challenges.
• Responsibility: Ability to assume a high level of responsibility within a dynamic and highly successful firm.
