Requirements
  • Experience working in the rail sector is essential.

Responsibilities
  • NEC3 Option C Contract management and administration.
  • Commercial reporting associated with change management.
  • Establish and manage entitlement, with focus on gaining full entitlement under the terms of the Subcontract.
  • Measurement and Compensation Event quotation development and pricing through to formal quotation submission.
  • Assessment of change impacts against the program.
  • Development, management, and reporting of project Change metrics and dashboards.
  • Liaison and negotiation with the Customer’s Commercial and/or project team.
  • Establishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advise and assisting the Commercial, Technical and Construction Delivery teams with the implementation of the commercial procedures and reporting to ensure compliance with Anthro JV contract requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with contract requirements and oversee contractual issues.
  • Manage and develop a commercial team and mentor/role model to other commercial staff on journey to professional qualification.
  • Manage and lead all Change Management meetings.
  • Manage and lead relevant Risk Reduction meetings.
  • Investigate and draft contract communications and notices including Early Warning Notices, notification of Compensation Events, General Communications.
  • Provide contractual and commercial risk advice to the Commercial team and wider Technical and Construction Delivery teams.
  • As required by AJV Commercial Project Director, manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works.
  • As required by AJV Commercial Project Director, support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules.
  • Mentor apprentices and support emerging talent programmes and initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Candidate is a Chartered Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, or other professional bodies such as the Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors or Chartered Institute of Building.
  • Track record of managing and developing a commercial team.
  • Experience working in a joint venture environment with contractors is beneficial.
  • Rail sector experience beyond essential requirements.
