- Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures based on anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information and images.
- Use independent judgment during sonographic examinations to differentiate accurately between normal and pathological findings.
- Initiate additional ultrasound imaging procedures independently to facilitate optimum diagnostic results.
- Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to the appropriate physician.
- Provide the interpreting physician with an oral or written summary of technical findings.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area and promote safe practices for patients.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and adequate supplies.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Communicate and coordinate work efforts with other employees and organizations.
- Interact professionally with employees, customers, and suppliers.
