Requirements
  • Candidate must hold an MD degree and have completed specialty training in Medical Genetics
  • Candidates must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) and be eligible for licensure in Quebec and certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec
  • Candidates must have an externally funded research program with clear evidence for current research productivity
  • Holding a PhD in a related subject will be considered an asset
  • Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec.
Responsibilities
  • Have an established and externally funded research program
  • Participate in all clinical activities including an equal share in call duties for inpatient consultations
  • Outpatient clinics will be tailored to the clinical or research interest of the candidate
  • Be actively involved in all aspects of McGill’s academic mission (i.e., research, teaching, supervision of students and residents, and involvement in academic and administrative committees)
  • Pursue scholarly activities in advancing clinical care and/or clinical research
  • Contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community
  • Demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
