The Systems Test Engineer oversees, leads, and executes test objectives for the NATO AGS program. Responsibilities include the following:
- Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints.
- Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems.
- Coordinates integrated testing activities.
- Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
- Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
- Supports and hosts test planning working groups, test readiness reviews, and pre/post test briefings.
- Serves as a subject matter focal point between maintenance, operations, engineering, and testing for both the company and customer.
- Maintains, prepares, and presents technical data, test reports, studies, metrics, and analysis to management, customers, and sub-contractors.
- Provides leadership to a multi-disciplinary team that includes sub-contractors to accomplish the delivery of all contractual requirements.
- Works under only general direction to determine and develop approaches, courses of action, and solutions.
- Displays outstanding written and oral communications skills.
- Displays decision-making and analytical skills vital to being able to identify core issues, develop resolution plans, and follow through to implementation, especially with evolving customer direction.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM).
- Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience with a BS degree; 12 years relevant experience with a STEM MS degree; 9 years of relevant experience with a STEM PhD degree.
- US Citizen with active DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to travel for extended periods, as required, to testing locations which may include Palmdale, CA, Sierra Vista, AZ, San Diego, CA, and Sigonella, Italy.
- Hands-on integration and test experience.
- Experience in Test Plan and Test Report writing.
- Experience in the field supporting test activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Directed ground test and flight test for Global Hawk or Triton programs.
- Experience working with international customers on DCS or FMS contracts.
- Experience in laboratory facility design, including laboratory floor layouts, test hardware, test software, test stations, test sets, and network architectures.
- Experience in laboratory integration and check-out.
- Experience in ground test and flight test infrastructure requirements, design, and standup.
Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $224,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
