  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with approximately 3 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • A Professional Engineer license is preferred, or the ability and willingness to obtain licensure within 1–2 years.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting both fieldwork and office-based engineering tasks.
  • An active National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying record or the ability to obtain additional state licenses through reciprocity is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with project teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance for Department of Defense-related projects.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction and First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely navigate uneven terrain during field activities.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Ability to execute work in accordance with safety, quality, and ethical standards.
Responsibilities
  • Support and execute civil and environmental engineering projects, with a balanced focus on field implementation and office-based design.
  • Perform site visits, field inspections, and construction oversight activities to support remediation and infrastructure projects.
  • Lead or support field teams in environmental sampling, site investigations, and construction support activities.
  • Assist with site civil design tasks including grading, erosion and sediment control, and general site development.
  • Prepare and review construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Support permitting efforts and coordination with regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to meet project scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality expectations.
  • Assist with contractor coordination, shop drawing reviews, and submittal evaluations.
  • Support development of scopes of work, proposals, and vendor coordination.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software to support project delivery.
  • Travel to project sites as needed, approximately 30–50%, primarily within the regional area, while maintaining regular collaboration with the West Chester office team.
Desired Qualifications
