Agentic Data Analyst Intern

Global Revenue Operations is a key function that enables our Sales team’s success to achieve their goals and revenue. As we continue to explore ways to grow our business, we need to continue to leverage technology to measure, track, manage, and automate our day-to-day business. 

Our Analytics team is seeking a highly motivated, resourceful, and data-driven analyst to help us understand how we can better adopt and leverage our internal systems. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented analyst with a passion for extracting value from automation, scripting, analytics, data pipelines, machine learning, and Generative AI.   

About the role - you will:

Develop and maintain internal tools and workflows that automate ingestion, transformation, and analysis of structured & unstructured business data 

• Implement intelligent data summarization and classification techniques using modern machine learning and language modeling frameworks 
• Design and manage scalable pipelines for centralized analytics, reporting, and/or faster decision-making 
• Prototype agent-facing solutions and explore integration pathways with productivity platforms to support business knowledge discovery 
• Contribute to modular backend development to support reuse and future system scaling 
• Explore graph-based modeling techniques to enhance contextual understanding and relationship mapping across business data and knowledge 
• Drive documentation excellence by clearly communicating technical workflows, system design decisions, and deployment guidelines 
• Analyze customer demand patterns, market conditions, competition, future trends, and company product mix and revenue strategies in making recommendations to optimize product supply 
• Visually provide management with identified insights from data sets 
• Develop and maintain reporting, metrics / KPIs, and analytics for Seagate’s go-to-market (GTM) functions 
• Partner with Business Intelligence-IT to migrate reports & workflows to enterprise-scale technical stack 
• Support key projects and system initiatives that align with Sales strategy and business needs 
• Engage with different internal systems (e.g., M365, SAP, Salesforce, Business Objects, Microsoft Power Apps) with the intention to update, run reports, and track status on activities through completion 
• Support training & key meetings coordination and communications initiatives 
• Perform data validation to assure integrity, accuracy and consistency, identify the root cause of data inconsistencies and process defects, and implement timely corrective actions 
• Regular communication with team members to checkpoint on business status, key requirements & work with stakeholders for plan to drive improvements 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on improvements to reports, tools and processes. Includes: Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Product Management, Customer Support, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT 

Interns typically work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5.30pm with occasionally requirement to attend night calls due to business needs.  The hours may be subject to change with or without notice at the sole discretion of Seagate.

• The candidate should also be comfortable with large-scale unstructured data, building modular automation pipelines, and exploring applied machine learning and Generative AI techniques. Familiarity with backend development, API integration, or intelligent system prototyping is a plus, along with an interest in building agent-ready solutions and knowledge graph-based systems. 

Your experience includes:

• A builder with an engineering mindset, comfortable iterating on ideas and building exploratory AI/ML-powered tools from scratch 
• Proficiency in open-source software and/or scripting in: Python (preferred), SQL (preferred), VBA, Java, C++ 
• Self-directed with a strong sense of ownership over end-to-end data pipelines, backend logic, automation 
• Using GenAI technologies (LLMs, RAG), vector databases (PostgreSQL), and structured data warehousing 
• Developing LLM-integrated pipelines for meeting summarization, data ingestion, and downstream semantic search 
• Passionate about making information retrieval agentic, automated, and semantically rich 
• Strong communicator who can abstract technical complexity into business insights 
• Adapt to change gracefully and learn new technologies quickly 
• Possess keen attention to detail and strong analytical thinking abilities 
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills 
• Project management experience driving projects to key milestones & deliverables 
• Ability to own delivery of multiple projects in parallel, based on changing priorities 
• Possess the ability to handle multiple projects in parallel and deliver them on time 
• Strong organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail 
• Experience gathering data from large scale data warehouses/data marts 
• Experience gathering & addressing feedback from Customer-facing stakeholder groups 
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts), Power Suite (Power Automate, Power Query, PowerBI), Copilot Studio, Graph APIs, Fabric, and other Microsoft 365 tools. 
• Proven proficiency with business intelligence and/or ETL analysis tools (e.g., Knime, Alteryx) 
• Genuine interest in learning and willingness to learn from all people, the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment 
• Understanding of storage industry, go-to-market activities, sales processes, and global businesses is a plus 
• Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM tools proficiency a plus  
• SAP or other ERP systems & process proficiency a plus
• Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Business or Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, Informatics, or similar fields, and returning to school in fall 2026

The estimated base wage range for this position is $20 - $29.50/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.  Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
