Requirements
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in occupational therapy is required.
  • The candidate must be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec.
  • The candidate must have interpersonal, observation, and collaboration skills.
  • The candidate must be able to work within an interdisciplinary team and adapt to an evolving environment.
  • The candidate must have a personal vehicle.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working with a varied caseload, including outpatient pediatrics.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate residents' functional abilities and occupational therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with the care team.
  • Adapt the environment or recommend technical aids to promote autonomy and safety.
  • Provide rehabilitation and functional stimulation interventions.
  • Participate in clinical committees and continuous improvement of practices in a long-term care facility.
  • Document follow-ups and interventions according to professional standards.
