Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in insurance, actuarial science, mathematics, risk management, economics, finance, accounting, business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify underlying issues, devise alternative solutions, select the most appropriate action and follow through to completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to organize and present detailed analysis, information and concepts.
  • Ability to prioritize own work and time, learn quickly, take initiative, drive action, and work independently.
Responsibilities
  • Gather information from multiple sources according to company guidelines to perform analysis, including compiling verbal information from internal subject matter authorities or partners and data from electronic reports or other published or unpublished sources.
  • Analyze data from various business processes and develop effective recommendations, including work involving pricing, underwriting, agency management, product distribution and claims.
  • Complete assigned analysis and tasks within established time and service standards.
  • Determine the steps needed to process work, define data sets, data sources and assumptions, and select the most appropriate format to display data.
  • Plan assignments to meet agreed-upon timelines and service level agreements.
  • Provide support to internal partners on technical issues and consult with the leader and product manager regarding analysis outcomes and ideas.
  • Communicate with internal and external business partners by requesting or providing information.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with peers and internal partners to support ongoing assignments.
  • Use analytical tools, core business knowledge, underwriting standard methodologies, and performance measurement techniques to recommend actions.
  • Participate in training classes, department meetings, and company meetings.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Nationwide has reported record financial results for 2025, entering its centennial year with total adjusted capital of $32.8 billion, the highest in its 100-year history.
