Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar IT position.
  • Post-secondary education in a computer-related field or equivalent related work experience.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written, for audits and client communication.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while remaining organized and attentive to detail.
  • Experience working with IT ticketing systems.
  • Experience with IT hardware provisioning.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of Linux systems, including Ubuntu and Red Hat, and command-line administration.
  • Ability to document processes, configurations, and incident responses in a detailed and organized manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Understanding of compliance and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Ability to adjust the schedule for occasional evening or weekend work to repair critical systems or perform upgrades and fixes outside business hours.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance for Canadian and US government contract requirements, such as Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming helpdesk requests, set priorities, resolve issues promptly, and close support tickets.
  • Own IT onboarding and offboarding processes and tasks.
  • Provide hands-on IT support to end users, including software and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Provision hardware, including Autopilot deployments, and track IT assets.
  • Monitor and maintain Windows operating systems, Office 365, and some Mac and Linux systems.
  • Administer user and group accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, configurations, and change-management logs.
  • Purchase and provision IT software.
  • Use artificial intelligence to assist with troubleshooting, support, and replies.

  • Equivalent related work experience in place of post-secondary education.
  • Ability to work at a different role level as applicable based on career stage and fit.

Stan Lequin appointed CEO of Fidus Systems to drive growth and AI transformation

Fidus Systems, a provider of electronic and embedded system design services, has appointed Stan Lequin as chief executive officer, effective 6 April 2026. He succeeds Alan Coady, who has led the company since January 2018 and will remain on the board as vice chairman. Lequin brings 30 years of experience in professional services. Most recently, he served as chief technology officer of AI transformation at Insight Enterprises, where he led the firm's "AI First" transformation. He previously founded Ensynch, a Microsoft consultancy that Insight acquired in 2011. Ottawa-based Fidus employs over 135 people across three North American offices and serves more than 500 customers in sectors including semiconductors, aerospace and defence, and medical devices. The company is owned by New York private equity firm Catchment Capital.
