Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering, Physics (ABET Accredited University)
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge & experience of high voltage battery technologies and energy management
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Experience identifying and solving the root cause of complex problems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and inform management of any barriers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to effectively work in a diverse multi-cultural environment
  • Experience with MATLAB Simulink
Responsibilities
  • Develop, validate, and release Advanced battery cells for the HV battery
  • Establish test procedures to fulfill DVPR requirements
  • Lead battery cell suppliers to ensure fulfillment of component and performance specifications
  • Complete HV battery cell testing
  • Identify root cause for propulsion system issues and integrate corrective actions
  • Generate ideas to reduce product cost and improve quality
  • Analyze data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations to management
  • Schedule work, monitor progress, and resolve problems to ensure project completion
  • Thoroughly document project work, draw conclusions, and make recommendations to management
  • Create project plans, timelines, and assist with defining budget requirements
  • Resolve plant build issues and field problems promptly
  • Participate in component integration events, fabricating and testing battery prototypes
