  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Business required
  • ASA, MAAA and/or FSA required
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare finance, consulting, or healthcare actuarial analytics required
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare value based program preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Medicare/Medicare Advantage preferred
  • Experience in determining monthly IBNR estimates and risk adjustment evaluation preferred
  • Experience in annual Medicare Advantage bid development process a plus
  • Experience in with Direct Contracting/ACO Reach a plus
  • Ability to work cross functionally with stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Planning, & Accounting (FP&A), Clinical, etc.) across the organization
  • Ability to lead, manage, and conduct multiple types of technical and actuarial analyses (e.g., pricing, reserving, and funding)
  • Strong technical programming skills; SQL, R, SAS, Python, Looker
  • Demonstrated data visualization experience; Tableau, Looker, PowerBI
  • Ability to work collaboratively to drive challenging and ambiguous projects
  • Ability to lead and grow actuarial team
  • Analysis of Medicare Advantage and Direct Contracting data primarily
  • Design and implement an actuarially sound monthly reserving process for Total Medical Expense (TME) and Premium estimation
  • Lead continuous evaluation of TME performance compared to plan expectations
  • Support month end financial and accounting processes for relevant actuarial estimates
  • Support ongoing audit review of Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) estimates
  • Support medical economics reporting and ad-hoc analyses relating to cost of care management
  • Design retrospective analysis of IBNR estimation and the design of studies to monitor the suitability of the completion factor estimates
  • Lead continuous evaluation of risk based funding and scoring performance compared to plan expectations
  • Collaborate and support Medical Economics Analysis
  • Support the evaluation of stop loss coverage limits and risk exposure within value based contracts
  • Design and manage actuarial intern/co-op analyses
  • Analyze and develop new de novo market assessments and modeling
