Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Lab Operations Cognizant Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This position will be located in Edwards AFB, CA.
The selected candidate will be involved in lab operations including, but not limited to, laboratory design, test planning, scheduling, and execution and reporting. Cyber Operations supports multiple shifts. The successful candidate will support the 3/10 weekend shift. Additional compensation applies to alternate shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure test stations and assets are configured and ready to test by deploying software and configuring hardware on the test stations.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to maintain and validate test station software and hardware.
- Perform Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) for test stations and integration events.
- Brief management of progress and status of labs.
- Manage daily lab operations and activities in compliance with policies and procedures
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- Minimum of 5 years related experience or 3 years related experience with a Masters in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM) or 0 years related experience with a PhD in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- Capability to reading and comprehend schematic diagrams.
- Basic understanding of Test Equipment, such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
- Must have familiarity with Electronic Principles, MIL STD protocol for 1553, 429, and 1394 busses.
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
- Must be willing to work various shifts depending on the business needs: 4x10 schedule (Mon-Thurs) 1st shift; 4x10 (Mon-Thurs) 2nd shift; 3x10 schedule (Fri, Sa, Su) 2nd shift; 3x10 schedule (Fri, Sa, Su) 1st shift
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar using scheduling tools.
- Familiar utilizing Atlassian Tool Suite.
- Familiar with Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
- Previous Lab environment experience
Salary Range: $97,500.00 - $146,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
