Responsibilities
  • All payroll for SLFD advisors
  • Monitoring and investigating the collection of the advisor debt balances
  • Managing benefits plan for SLFD advisors
  • Ensuring people, processes, best practices, and contractual and business rules work in unison to deliver exceptional service
  • Develop, coach and lead payroll and benefits team with commissions and bonuses for advisors as required
  • Respond to payroll related inquiries from advisors, as well as other individuals and teams within head office, including external business partners
  • Reviewing service standard and workflow management reports, initiating process improvements where necessary
  • Supporting team with tax deductions for the Sun Life Financial Distribution advisors and remittance of tax installments to CRA
  • Enhancing and following through on audits and controls for payroll processes; and guidance and decisions on complex and exception situations
  • Leverage technology to improve the team’s performance
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers, distribution partners and colleagues
