Summary:The Field Engineer will serve as engineering support for our HVAC National Accounts team on complex/highly technical or problem jobs. This role will require frequent travel to job sites throughout the US, but will report to our Tampa sales office.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Product Support - Troubleshoot issues with existing and newly installed equipment in the field and provide immediate solutions
• Work closely with engineering team, service team, local sales team and customers to help find best outcomes on installed jobs
• On site for startups on all high profile jobs as required
• Review and analyze data gathered from installed equipment in order to make product improvements, utilizing our CASLink remote monitoring system
• Use mechanical building design knowledge to review applications for customers and suggest improvements in operation
• Perform training and support for outside contractors on CaptiveAire products
• Provide reports to Application Engineering, R&D and manufacturing on customer feedback/challenges, quality, product improvements/issues

Required Skills:

• 0-10 yrs experience
• 4-year technical degree, in an electrical, electronics or mechanically oriented curriculum
• Field HVAC engineering/commissioning experience is preferred
• Must enjoy hands on product exposure to technology
• HVAC and/or electrical experience strongly preferred
• Multi-tasking, problem solving and strong communication skills a must

Training Plan:

• Reporting to a busy national sales office in Tampa
• Joining for product commissioning at new job sites 
• Some initial cross-training with local Tampa service team for increased troubleshooting exposure
