Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading technical resources
  • Has 4 years or more of experience in BI technologies, with at least 2 years in OBIEE
  • Full lifecycle OBIEE implementation experience required
  • Strong skills in both OBIEE repository and report architecture/development
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management, interpersonal & communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer facing skills that foster a ‘trusted advisor’ relationship with business
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to use informal power / influencing ability towards healthy and productive outcomes
  • Ability to manage all types of project resources (i.e., employees, vendors, consultants)
  • Full knowledge of systems lifecycle development methodologies; agile experience preferred
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases preferred
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services is a plus
  • Experience with other reporting and analytics solutions is a plus
  • Top Three Skills: Developer on at least 2 full OBIEE lifecycle implementations
  • Experience in working directly with the clients to set up review sessions
  • Must be able to create, develop, and design reports & dashboards in OBIEE v 11
  • Non-Technical Skills: very important - must have proven track record of working directly with stakeholders and presentation skills
  • HUGE PLUS: If YOU have set up multi-user environments and have more design experience, a HUGE plus
Responsibilities
  • Build a repository from scratch and develop new modules to merge with existing repositories for OBIEE implementations, including bringing the sales and profitability dashboard onto OBIEE
  • Work on OBIEE application development with focus on custom solutions, not operations/infrastructure or out-of-the-box solutions, and interact directly with stakeholders
  • Set up review sessions with clients and be client facing
  • Translate business requirements into technical functionality in collaboration with business customers
  • Perform project management of development efforts and plan/execute 5,000 – 10,000 person hour projects
  • Forecast resources for 3 to 6 months for approximately 5 to 7 resources
  • Develop the vision and roadmap to meet current and future customer needs
  • Develop the team and deliver appropriate praise and feedback
  • Work effectively across the IT organization to implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Clearly communicate interests and concerns of others to find common ground, secure cooperation, and drive to agreement
  • Take full responsibility for the team’s delivery to the business and customers
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and drive critical issues to closure
  • View difficult situations as opportunities for improvement and learn from experiences to move forward

  • Experience with other reporting and analytics solutions is a plus
