Requirements
  • Three to five years of experience in healthcare or applied behavior analysis business development, including at least one year managing a team.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Existing relationships with Regional Centers and pediatricians in the assigned region.
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management systems and the ability to pull reports from a practice management system.
  • Willingness to travel daily locally and occasionally overnight for regional meetings.
Responsibilities
  • Own the referral pipeline and monthly client start quota for one geographic region.
  • Deploy business development liaisons to high-return referral sources based on data.
  • Balance referrals across regional offices to match clinical capacity.
  • Hire, train, and coach two to four business development liaisons.
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one pipeline reviews with each liaison.
  • Enforce daily activity standards for business development liaisons.
  • Approve liaison commission and retention bonus submissions.
  • Personally manage the region's top referral accounts, including large pediatric groups and Regional Center service coordinators.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with high-volume referrers.
  • Resolve referral friction, including authorization delays and communication gaps.
  • Report referrals generated, client starts, 60-day retention rates, and aging referrals to the Statewide Business Development Executive each week.
  • Track competitor activity and identify new pediatric groups or Regional Center contacts.
  • Relay payer issues, including denials and authorization delays, to the revenue cycle management team.
