Requirements
  • Completion of a certificate or diploma from an approved or accredited Radiologic Technology program or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board certification.
  • National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency, if applicable.
  • Advanced certification by the accrediting body in the specialty within 18 months of hire, if applicable.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Two years of clinical knowledge or equivalent clinical experience is typically required.
  • Effective communication and human relations skills are required.
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders, using independent judgment and applying learned methodologies according to established policies and procedures.
  • Educate patients and families regarding the procedure or treatment to be performed, and demonstrate professional behavior in interactions.
  • Produce high-quality images and prepare and present them with pertinent patient information for timely interpretation.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Perform and evaluate equipment quality-control measurements, troubleshoot equipment issues, and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, and adhere to safety policies.
  • Fulfill the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice, including maintaining confidentiality of work information.
  • Assure efficient department workflow and monitor and maintain adequate supplies and materials to prevent interruption of services.
  • Perform prescribed invasive or interventional procedures when applicable, in accordance with established policies.
  • Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards.
  • Provide customers of Foundation Health with a consistently excellent service experience by demonstrating the organization's core and leader behaviors.
