About The Role:
Lumafield is looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team in Cambridge, MA. In this role you will work hands on in our lab space to assist with our hardware build efforts.
What You’ll Do:
- Inspect, organize, and prepare hardware parts for assembly, including performing part reworks as necessary
- Assemble prototypes using work instructions that will continue to evolve over time
- Perform tests on prototypes to validate build quality
- Document part and assembly issues, required reworks, and machine configurations for performance traceability
About You:
- Hands-on worker with a strong attention to detail
- Experience operating power tools (drill, grinder)
- Comfortable using digital tools and organizational software
- Maintain workspace conditions to facilitate cleanliness and productivity for other workspace users
- Can read and interpret mechanical part and assembly drawings and instructions
- Can lift up to 60 lbs
This position is located onsite in our Cambridge, MA headquarters.
