HCVT is looking for an intern to join the exciting world of Automation. The ideal candidate is a problem solver at heart, and capable of reviewing current manual processes and automating them from start to finish. We are looking for someone who has passion for automation and is eager to learn more about how enterprise level automation is achieved. This role will report to the Senior IT Development Manager of the firm.
Working with our development team, an Automation Intern would be participating in:
- Automating manual processes using Python, PowerShell and Power Automate
- Keeping well maintained and well commented scripts
- Storing scripts and utilizing version control in Azure DevOps
- Maintaining documentation on scripts created in Automation process
- Working with Senior Developers on code reviews
- Eliminating defects and errors with software development
We are looking for aspiring developers to have the following:
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related degree
- Provide a GitHub repository of code examples
- Demonstrate excellent code design and commenting practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Job experience in automation is a plus, but not required
- Available to work 40 hours a week from Mid-June through Mid-August with the potential to be offered a full-time position contingent upon a positive performance review
The anticipated hourly range for this role is $25.00 plus any overtime. This salary range is specific to the state(s) listed and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set and education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
