Requirements
  • A South Carolina or Compact State Registered Nurse license is required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • The role requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, perform fine motor tasks, lift and move patients or medical equipment, and maintain visual, auditory, and physical stamina for patient care.
  • The role requires mobility in clinical environments and compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Direct and lead assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age- and developmentally appropriate care according to nursing standards.
  • Provide patient- and family-centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs; develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and implement interventions, coordinate care, provide health teaching and promotion, and evaluate goals and interventions.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment through patient privacy and responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior.
  • Participate in the professional practice model, shared governance, peer review, professional development, standards of care, team activities, autonomous practice, accountability, and critical thinking.
  • Coordinate effective and efficient patient care services using care management principles, identify clinical priorities, and initiate actions to improve patient outcomes.
  • Promote a healthy work environment and accept personal responsibility for professional growth.
