Requirements
  • Strong interest in working in retail management within a store environment.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs including the operation of handheld scanners and multiple frequency communication devices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.

Responsibilities
  • Spend time on the store sales floor and backroom leading team members and aligning the team on daily business priorities.
  • Work alongside an Executive Team Lead mentor and other leaders to gain an understanding of management roles.
  • Lead through daily priorities such as stocking shelves, ensuring a safe environment, and building merchandise displays.
  • Partner with leaders regarding team member performance by teaching, coaching, training, and delivering performance feedback.
  • Address team member concerns and remove operational hurdles to ensure goal attainment.
  • Lead and present at daily huddles with the peer and leadership team.
  • Plan daily goals and organize operational plans within the building.
  • Provide summaries of results and priorities to the leadership team.
  • Review business reporting and guest insights to troubleshoot and follow up on opportunity areas.
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring team members are knowledgeable and empowered to resolve guest issues.
  • Provide new ideas and recommend solutions to business or team opportunities.
  • Participate in internship program training activities, developmental opportunities, and events.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance while holding others accountable to these commitments.
  • Identify and correct hazards and comply with all safety policies and best practices.
  • Foster an inclusive, equitable, safe, and secure culture.
  • Engage with guests in a welcoming way to solve specific needs and provide assistance.
  • Set and plan departmental monthly and quarterly workloads to support business priorities.
  • Manage a team of hourly team members and team leaders while creating business strategies and goals.
  • Participate in recruiting, selecting, and talent management of hourly team members and leaders.
