Requirements
  • A minimum of 20 years of demonstrated experience in project management, construction management, business, or a related field managing large projects.
  • Experience in wastewater treatment plant construction management or construction.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-bid services, including review of bid documents, constructability reviews, and cost estimates.
  • Assist during the bidding phase.
  • Process shop drawings and other contractor deliverables.
  • Assist with construction change management, including negotiations and preparation of change orders.
  • Provide resident engineering and inspection services.
  • Review and analyze construction schedules.
  • Perform quality assurance and material testing.
  • Maintain project files.
  • Participate in value engineering studies and support the Envision process.
  • Avoid, analyze, and resolve claims.
  • Coordinate utility services during construction.
  • Manage and coordinate the impact of construction on plant operations.
  • Provide commissioning services, including supervisory control and data acquisition services and startup.
  • Provide project closeout and post-construction services.
  • Provide other services related to completion of construction and operation of the facility.
  • Provide other professional services as requested by the County.
  • Support construction management field office operations, including office rental and maintenance.
  • Assist with alternative delivery methods.
  • Support County safety personnel by implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental plans, conducting site safety audits, and coordinating with contractors to mitigate hazards.
  • Provide permitting support and coordination.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification is preferred.
  • Program management experience is preferred.
