  • A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field by the appointment start date
  • Peer-reviewed research and publication record in wireless, networking, spectrum-related issues, AI, or security
  • Knowledge of wireless networks and familiarity with wireless testbed research
  • Ability to supervise and instruct undergraduate, graduate students and junior researchers
  • Good communication skills and experience giving professional presentations at academic conferences and to potential sponsors
  • Interest in innovation and workforce development programs in wireless systems
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to sponsored research programs as either Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator
  • Report to the Director of the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things
  • Excel in collaborative team environments and possess a strong mix of experimental and analytical skills
  • Communicate complex technical ideas effectively

  • Rank will be determined based on the applicant’s credentials and experience
  • For the ranks of Research Associate Professor and Research Professor, additional required qualifications include track record in obtaining research funding, serving as Principal Investigator of research projects, and supervising junior researchers and/or graduate students
