$25.59  - $35.85 minimum starting pay

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands.  Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.

What You Will Be Doing:

The Gap Adjuster position supports claim handling efforts and assists with maintaining service levels during periods of adjuster absences across the department; filling in the “gap” until the branch or home office unit no longer needs the assistance.  You will Investigate, analyze, evaluate, and settle insurance claims involving liability issues, auto physical damage losses, bodily injury, and property damage losses assigned to any of Shelter Insurance Companies offices or units. Determine validity of claims, verify, and complete coverage investigations, establish value of losses, and negotiate settlements within limits of authority, consistent with established procedures and legal and contractual obligations.

• Ability to learn through on-the-job training/training courses and obtain multi state licensing
• Exhibit strong skills in technology
• Flexibility to travel as job requires

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
