POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Risk and Investments IT Business Systems Developer Intern will perform business analysis, development and testing to deliver software applications, services, interfaces, ELT processes, reporting and other workflow and management initiatives. The role will work closing with business and IT teams to help define, design and build business enhancing software. The role will gain exposure to the modern SDLC principles, test driven development and source code reviews and change control standards in order to maintain compliance with policies. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong will to enhance their technical ability, excellent communication and collaboration skills including the ability to develop and troubleshoot a diverse range of problems.

REQUIREMENTS

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Graduating in May 2025
Organization, prioritization, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers
Enthusiasm for using various technologies as a tool to provide business solutions
A desire to learn about Investment and Risk Functions and spot opportunities for improvements through Technology
Self-motivated, resourceful, with independent working habits

Required Technical Qualifications and Experience:

Knowledge and exposure to Python and SQL
Some understanding of Investments front office and Risk
Some knowledge of investments with bonds, derivatives

Desired Technical Qualifications and Experience in order of importance:

Python
SQL
Unix
Knowledge of Cloud technologies would be a benefit
Interest in Using or Learning Mendix Low Code Platform

Global Atlantic’s Intern Salary is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. The Intern Salary is based on yearly compensation and will be paid for 10 weeks during the program. Intern Salary is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for interns. Other rewards may include an intern cash stipend, employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions, and branded gifts. The Intern Salary for this role is $90,000.

Global Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes. Future adjustments may include obtaining specific licenses or certifications to comply with operational needs and conform to applicable industry-specific regulatory requirements, state and federal laws.
