Requirements
  • At least 8 years of demonstrated experience in enterprise sales involving cybersecurity services, including incident response, readiness, or security consulting.
  • A demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in multi-stakeholder enterprise environments.
  • Experience leading request for proposal responses and managing complex commercial negotiations through close.
  • Proficiency with enterprise customer relationship management and pipeline management platforms.
  • Understanding of the cyber incident response and readiness market, including incident response retainers, tabletop exercises, breach simulation, and recovery planning services.
  • Working knowledge of how readiness services complement managed security capabilities such as managed extended detection and response, managed detection and response, and security operations center services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance factors shaping cybersecurity investment across North American markets.
  • Awareness of Accenture Security capabilities including identity, cloud security, operational technology security, and threat intelligence.
  • Ability to build and sustain productive working relationships across a large, matrixed organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to manage pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity documentation in an organized and disciplined manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple active pursuits while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the Cyber Readiness, Recovery & Response sales pipeline across North America, including the United States, Canada, and Latin America, with direct accountability for revenue targets and forecast accuracy.
  • Lead and coordinate request for proposal responses with capability teams, solution architects, pricing, and legal.
  • Manage the full opportunity lifecycle from qualification through close, ensuring appropriate resources are engaged at each stage.
  • Use Accenture's internal sales platforms—MMP, MMS, and MME—to track opportunities, manage pipeline health, and provide timely reporting to practice leadership.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Accenture Security managing directors, account executives, industry leads, and alliance teams across North America to identify and co-develop sales opportunities.
  • Engage with Accenture's internal security community to stay current on portfolio developments, active pursuits, and opportunities for Readiness, Recovery & Response services to complement client engagements.
  • Communicate the value of Cyber Readiness, Recovery & Response services and their relationship to managed security offerings in client and internal discussions.
  • Represent the Readiness, Recovery & Response offering in internal practice forums, pipeline reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Engage senior client stakeholders, including chief information security officers, chief information officers, and risk executives, to understand cyber readiness posture and present relevant solutions.
  • Develop and deliver proposals and presentations that align Readiness, Recovery & Response capabilities with client risk priorities and business requirements.
  • Work with delivery leads and subject-matter experts to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and deliverable within agreed commercial parameters.
  • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape across North American markets to position Accenture offerings during pursuits.
  • Maintain market coverage across the United States, Canada, and Latin America while adapting to regional regulatory environments, client maturity, and buying behavior.
  • Provide regular pipeline and forecast updates to practice leadership and escalate risks or resource needs.
  • Support development of North America go-to-market plans with practice and geographic leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Team lead or practice management experience.
  • External client-facing consulting experience in a Big Four or top-tier advisory firm.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional or Certified Information Security Manager.
  • Experience selling or delivering within Accenture's managed security or managed extended detection and response ecosystem.
  • Spanish or Portuguese capability for Latin American market coverage.

Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company mentioned LearnVantage only once on its June 2026 earnings call, listing it amongst AI enablers rather than highlighting it as a standalone growth driver. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue. The company has also launched Accenture Edge, targeting mid-market companies. The stock is down 24.3% over the past year.

Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy to boost mid-market AI and ERP capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner specialising in mid-market companies. Upon closing, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, the firm's mid-market business serving companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from the Netherlands with offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company employs over 380 professionals who design, implement and manage SAP solutions across ERP, data and business applications. McCoy holds SAP Gold Partner status and serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture Edge's position in the EMEA mid-market whilst expanding SAP modernisation capabilities in the Netherlands. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
