Role Description 

An exciting opportunity to deliver campaigns across some of UM’s top clients - American Express, Just Eat Takeaway and Fidelity. You will play a pivotal role in the client team, being the bridge between strategy and execution and you’ll be connected to daily campaign delivery while managing upwards to push wider agency initiatives. This role focusses on the full campaign lifecycle, from taking in new briefs, to creating exciting media plans across all online and offline channels, through to overseeing activation and post-campaign analysis. 

You will be able to take a client brief and work with internal stakeholders to create a best in class media plan to present to the client. In order to do so, you will employ various tools and data that are available in UM to allow us to plan efficiently. You will then work with junior staff members to ensure that the campaign is set up, optimised and reported by the high levels expected by our clients. You’ll be expected to manage a range of products, consistently going above and beyond for clients and delivering innovative solutions where possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day to day management of client relationships, along with the rest of the team, earning the trust and respect of the client and key contacts.
• Develop deep understanding of client’s products and business challenges.
• Understanding audiences that can unlock growth for client’s businesses and use consumer insights to build and shape the communication approach
• Add strategic value where possible.  Deliver insight led reports to clients to assist in evolving the media approach and build learnings and optimisations to make campaigns better.
• Collaborate closely with media partners to align performance against client expectation and new opportunities.
• Manage and support the junior members of the team in delivery of the media planning that feeds into key agency output, high quality accuracy of media plans and financial diligence, deliver insightful documents (planning, reporting and PCAs).
• Understanding of the importance of brilliant basics and how client servicing is key to building strong relationships with clients. These brilliant basics include replying to client emails within a timely manner, sense checking your work, and keeping up with financial reconciliations.
• Follow processes and procedures put in place for effective delivery of campaigns, performance reports and finance reconciliations to meet client expectations.
• Keep up with the latest trends and be able to identify new opportunities for your clients.
• Identify opportunities and build strategic recommendation alongside specialist business units to grow revenue within your group.
• Understand the billing and revenue on your client’s business and proactively bring to the attention of the leadership team monthly fluctuations, opportunities and threats
• Provide timely and accurate billings projections each month to the account lead.
• Support UM with new business opportunities and ad hoc pitch requests
• Collaborate and build close working relationships with third parties and Media Owners to bring innovation and new solutions into the agency to deliver a better UM product keep informed of new propositions

Desired Skills & Experience

• You have media planning experience across offline and online media channels.
• You have experience using planning tool such as TGI, YouGov, ComScore & Touchpoints.
• You have experience using finance programmes such as DDS and Prisma.
• You are confident using PowerPoint and Excel.
• You are comfortable building excellent relationships with clients, media owners and team members.
