Requirements
- High School Diploma or associate degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation manufacturing, or quality assurance
- Comprehension of AS9100 or ISO 9001 standard
- ASQ certification preferred
- Experience with programming and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), inspection of machine components, and performance of gage R&R studies is desirable
- Electrical/Battery production Knowledge is a plus
Responsibilities
- Coordinate inspection workload according to priorities, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
- Perform Inspection duties utilizing engineering drawings and orders, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures and instructions, and other related documents
- Perform preliminary and progressive inspections of aircraft systems, verify functional operation, final inspections, inspect for FOD and verify paperwork. Witness, verify and document manufacturing process steps
- Conduct quality reviews and establish traceability of supplier documentation such as certificates of conformance, material/special process certifications, and inspection/test reports
- Work with supplier/internal quality assurance teams for issues related to suppliers found on the shopfloor
- Initiate nonconforming material reports
- Ensure the proper use and storage of area tools and measurement equipment
- Monitor and report on quality Inspection performance
- Promote awareness of quality requirements, goals, objectives, and best practices
- Conduct work in a manner that enhances own/other employees health and safety, product safety and promotes risk reduction; participates openly in safety related event investigations and immediately report hazards and make suggestions for control of such
- May require up to 10% of domestic and international travel
- Other duties as assigned
