Requirements
  • A current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license is required.
  • At least 3 years of leadership or management experience in healthcare is required.
  • Experience supervising clinical teams is required.
  • Knowledge of gerontology and senior care is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead all clinical operations for the Wellness Department.
  • Ensure residents receive exceptional, person-centered care.
  • Complete resident assessments prior to move-in and as needed.
  • Oversee medication administration and medication management.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, hospitals, home health, hospice, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers.
  • Serve as the primary clinical contact for residents and their families.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop Wellness team members.
  • Build a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing coaching.
  • Ensure staff maintain required licenses, certifications, and mandatory education.
  • Develop staffing schedules to support quality resident care.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
  • Lead infection prevention, medication safety, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs.
  • Oversee the Medication Aide program, including delegation, competency validation, and supervision.
  • Investigate resident concerns, incidents, and grievances while implementing appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and resident records.
  • Manage the Wellness Department budget.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, supplies, and clinical equipment.
  • Partner with the Executive Director and Regional Leadership to support community success.
  • Prepare reports and communicate department updates to leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Registered Nurse (RN) license is preferred.
  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or senior living is preferred.
  • Experience with state surveys, regulatory compliance, and clinical operations is preferred.
