Requirements
  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic certification is required
  • A valid class 3 drivers license is required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to manage time and make decisions in a fast paced environment
  • Able to weld, gas and AC/DC is a strong asset
  • Experience working in a remote environment is considered an asset
  • Strong commitment to follow workplace safety requirements and procedures
  • Able to perform a physically strenuous and demanding job i.e. lifting, pulling
  • Must be prepared to work in extreme weather conditions
Responsibilities
  • Repairs, overhauls, maintains, and services diesel powered vehicles, heavy trucks, heavy construction equipment, graders, dump trucks, and excavators
  • Fabricates, constructs, installs, and repairs equipment and machinery
  • Diagnoses equipment problems and determines repairs needed
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
  • May be called upon to operate other equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

ATCO Acquires NRB for $40 Million

ATCO Ltd. announced its Structures division has acquired NRB Ltd., a Canadian modular building manufacturer, for $40 million CAD. The acquisition, expected to close by July 2024, will expand ATCO's modular capabilities, particularly in multi-family and affordable housing.
