Requirements
  • A college degree is preferred, with marketing or business experience preferred.
  • A clean driving record is required.
  • Two to three years of industry experience and a passion for the spirits industry are required; extensive premium whiskey category knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • General computer knowledge and the ability to work with different programs on an iPad are required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, along with training and media handling skills, are required.
  • Confidence working in on-premise environments ranging from high-end hotels to dive bars is required.
  • An in-depth understanding of the target consumer, spirit brand priorities, and the three-tiered system of selling is required.
  • The ability to sell to and interact with diverse groups of people is required.
  • The ability to work non-traditional hours, including holidays, nights, and weekends, is required.
  • Extensive drive time within the respective market is required, so reliable transportation is required.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds at one time is required.
Responsibilities
  • Drive sales volume and brand visibility for Brown-Forman brands through local activation of national brand platforms.
  • Manage sales and target accounts, provide brand and category training, and execute creative brand experiences in on-premise and non-traditional venues.
  • Interact with local distributor brokers to facilitate target account programs and support strategic sales growth and consumer engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with appropriate parties and managers using oral, written, and other appropriate communication methods.
  • Collaborate with the local team to set expectations, monitor delegated activities, and provide recognition for results.
  • Understand and communicate Brown-Forman brand positioning through program events in the respective market.
  • Create, cultivate, and manage relationships with multicultural consumers and trade contacts according to brand priorities and target-market demographics.
  • Understand and comply with legal and digital compliance standards.
  • Grow Brown-Forman's share of NABCA TDS within the targeted account universe.
  • Understand the history and brand-related facts for the promotable brand or brand portfolio.
  • Work with Brown-Forman field sales teams, local distributor representatives, and key account contacts to manage and execute promotional brand objectives.
  • Execute on-premise promotions, activations, special events, and Brown-Forman programs.
  • Schedule promotions and events at target accounts with Brown-Forman, distributor management, and sales representatives.
  • Provide timely qualitative and quantitative feedback on activation and event effectiveness.
  • Manage sales for approximately 50 on- and off-premise target accounts in the assigned market.
  • Ensure proper brand positioning and messaging in the target market's e-premise sphere.
  • Identify opportunities and lead creative planning and execution of brand activations in digital and in-home consumer spaces.
  • Integrate multicultural accounts into the target account list according to demographics, brand priorities, and target consumer profiles.
  • Help create an effective target account universe that drives share gains in top revenue-producing accounts within the state.
  • Develop creative consumer-facing activation plans with Field Marketing Managers to bring national brand platforms to life in target-market accounts.
  • Manage the planning and promotion of consumer-facing events in partnership with target accounts.
  • Use activations to increase brand distribution, menu features and placements, and case displays in target accounts.
  • Communicate market activities to management and the Brown-Forman contact, highlighting volume and visibility gains.
  • Coordinate merchandise and point-of-sale delivery for national brand platforms in key accounts.
  • Work with distributors to communicate brand expectations and ensure appropriate consumer and general-market trade engagement.
  • Build long-term brand presence and relationships with hospitality professionals in target accounts.
  • Manage the strategic activation budget by aligning expenses with outputs and brand guidelines.
  • Manage return on investment for spending and develop solutions to increase budget effectiveness.
  • Manage target-account point-of-sale orders, delivery, and implementation for target brands.
  • Track personal expense reports and market-activity trackers.
