Responsibilities
  • Support requirements for PR0002 Program Support and provide support to technical staff, performing a variety of both complex and analytical duties.
  • Maintain program files; collect, compile, and analyze data for various program documents; design and maintain spreadsheets in support of financial tracking systems.
  • Work closely with the team and provide input on related technical and managerial issues; assist in areas such as country backstopping and overall administrative support.
  • Monitor or assess program effectiveness or the improvement of complex program and management processes and systems encompassing difficult and diverse functions that affect major programs of the Agency related to management and administrative policies.
  • Serve as an expert on long-range planning, recommending and participating in developing strategies for implementing planning for a major office or program; recommend short- and long-range goals and oversee implementation.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on broad or complex projects and programs including consulting with Agency Senior Managers on policies and procedures; assist in development of policies and guidance based on analysis and research.
  • Manage and conduct studies encompassing extremely large, difficult, and diverse projects for a major agency component; direct capture, reporting, and analysis of statistical data relating to the organization’s operations; direct or perform special studies.
  • Support grants and contracts for the organization; attend meetings, workshops, and conferences to stay abreast of developments.
  • Provide assistance to technical staff and recipient organizations to ensure financial and technical reports are prepared and submitted as required.
  • Assist technical staff in preparing program documents and correspondence such as memos, waivers, amendments, project authorizations, Congressional Notifications, Technical Notifications, requests; ensure documentation is complete and compliant with rules, regulations, and standards.
  • Prepare budgets and financial tracking sheets for team use.
  • Research, plan, analyze, and organize technical and/or statistical information; develop data for use in briefings, publications, and reports.
  • Prepare program communications such as cables, memoranda, and letters seeking approval or information relative to program matters.
  • Collect and compile data for regular and ad hoc reporting on program status from various sources; ensure schedules and deadlines are met.
  • Collect and distribute material to Agency missions, offices, host country institutions, and cooperating agencies.
  • Maintain or assist with administrative and financial tracking systems; assist in design and maintenance of spreadsheets and databases; perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in country team activities as needed; provide short-term backstopping support for Technical staff; provide technical assistance as requested; work with Agency staff on general management-related activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in international development or social change is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with community-led development is a strong plus.
  • Strong preference to candidates that have spent meaningful time working in a developing country and understand such environments.
