Requirements
  • MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine or equivalent (FCFMG).
  • At least five years of experience practicing medicine and at least two years of leadership and clinical administrative experience.
  • Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Recognition as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with prescriptive authority and an unlimited license to practice medicine in Indiana.
  • A current Drug Enforcement Administration certificate and Indiana Controlled Substance Registration are required.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Meeting the credentialing requirements of affiliated hospitals and the health system.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership as the Medical Director of Aspire’s Behavioral Health Services within its Community Mental Health Center.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate Aspire’s whole-person care model.
  • Monitor quality measures for care providers and standards for Federally Qualified Health Center certification with clinical leadership.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of clinical programs consistent with Aspire’s mission and values.
  • Participate as an active member of the leadership and clinical team in accordance with Aspire Indiana Health’s bylaws.
  • Provide direct patient care and coordinate care with other medical leadership.
  • Provide medical and clinical direction, supervision, and training to psychiatric physicians and mid-level practitioners, including serving as a collaborating or consultative psychiatrist for primary care and mid-level psychiatric providers.
  • Perform medical diagnosis and treatment for psychiatric patients through in-person, virtual, and telephonic routine, urgent, crisis, on-call, and consultation services.
  • Prescribe medications for diagnosed psychiatric conditions in compliance with professional standards.
  • Recommend referrals for specialty care, emergent care, or hospitalization for services not provided within Aspire Indiana Health.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a Community Mental Health Center setting.
  • Possession of an X-waiver.
