What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI is seeking a team of interns to fill a variety of positions for work on the MAGNES program this summer, specifically in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Network & Systems Engineering, Software Development, Cybersecurity, Integration and test, among others. In this role you will be able to work in a virtual lab and field environments for integration and risk reduction testing; perform system of systems (SoS) tactical and enterprise network architecture development and analysis, M&S, network and application performance management; and provide infrastructural, technical, and operational support for integration and interoperability testing.
More About the Role:
- Lab-Based Risk Reduction
- Work location is based out of Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. Most work will be a based out of the Combined Joint Systems Integration Laboratory (CJSIL). The CJSIL is a lab-based risk reduction environment that connects Army, Joint Service, and Mission Partner labs in a virtual, operationally realistic, tactical network for greater collaboration and better solutions that will enable dominance for our Warfighters during Multi Domain Operations. The lab uses a scalable tactical network architecture comprised of current and future communications and networking technologies.
- Test and validation in support of capability set fielding, evaluation of new products
- SoS and risk reduction testing of Upper Tactical Internet (UTI) applications
- Testing of commercial radios.
- Field-Based Reduction
- Work location is based out of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB-MDL), NJ.
- Have the opportunity to work with the field engineering team to integrate emerging electronic hardware and software with existing systems into a systems-of-systems
- Work with the Operations Center to establish and maintain network communications between Range 1 and the C5ISR vehicles, stand-alone radio antennae, satellites and various locations around the country.
- Experiment & evaluation support
- Support annual exercise focusing on tactical cyber, electronic warfare, anti-jam camp
- Modelling and Simulation
- Use MODESTA framework to model spectrum availability for Next Generation Combat Vehicle
- Analyze, design, integrate M&S results
- Will work with leads to enhance the network M&S framework to allow for the importation of radio frequency antenna patterns from an external source, and the ability to apply them to a network analysis
- Improve network scenario creation within the network M&S framework which will allow for much quicker scenario generation at large scale - a key component for enabling network M&S to enhance a Live, Virtual, Constructive event.
- Any additional meaningful tasks to achieve goals that enhance C5ISR Center network M&S capabilities.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Must be currently be enrolled in High School OR a full-time Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctorate Student
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance (Due to clearance requirement, position may require proof of US Citizenship)
These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have:
- Secret Clearance
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Network, or Business, or related field is preferred, not required
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required
- Looking of candidates who are self-starters, interested in IT, Systems Engineering process, Computer Science, Electronics, Radio Frequency, Business Admin, Cyber
- Skill in using scientific rules and methods to solve problems.
- Knowledge of new and emerging information technology and cybersecurity technologies.
- Ability to research current technology to understand capabilities of required system or network.
- Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$36,300-$72,600
