The AXG/Xe Architecture and IP Engineering Group (XAE) located in Poland (Katowice), is looking for GPU Computer/Graphics Hardware Engineer Interns.
In this role, you will support teams of design engineers, system architects, micro-architects, and verification engineers to ensure that the design is implemented to specification.
You will perform all aspects of the GPU / SoC design flow from high level modeling, RTL design, functional and formal verification, to synthesis, timing analysis and power and performance optimization.
Length of Internship: 12+ months with the possibility to extend as per business needs (up to 33 months), and part-time up to 35h/week.
This is an entry level position, and it will be compensated accordingly.
Qualifications:
We ask that all applicants are current university students and will remain students during the length of our internship.
We welcome applications from candidates with:
- Knowledge of digital electronics
- Knowledge of hardware description languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL)
- Basic knowledge of signal processing
- Basic knowledge of object programming.
It would be an advantage if you had interest/knowledge and would like to develop your skills in:
- GPU/CPU, ASIC/FPGA platforms, and ASIC design flow
- 3D Graphics Pipeline and GPU architecture
- Verification principles and UVM
- Programming skills in C/C++
- Scripting languages e.g. Python
- Graphics APIs e.g. OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX
- Rendering and Ray Tracing algorithms
- Profiling benchmarks and games
- GPU compute architecture and CUDA/OpenCL background

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
