Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
  • 8-10 years of experience working with U.S. and international governments.
  • Understanding of international trade and national security policy issues and legislative/regulatory processes.
  • Political and policy experience, including contacts on in the Executive Branch.
  • Aptitude to work collaboratively within a small, fast-paced team.
  • Comfortable interacting regularly with senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to work, lead and collaborate with other internal teams (ex. Communications, Public Affairs, Sales, Marketing, Legal, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with integrity and within standards of ethical conduct.
Responsibilities
  • Interact with government officials on behalf of Dell and advance the company’s business priorities.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain Dell relationships with US and foreign policymakers.
  • Assist the team in the development and execution of proactive and reactive advocacy strategies relating to priority issues; Working with other functions, devising strategies designed to enhance Dell’s reputation and thought leadership.
  • Regularly present to and update internal and external audiences on policy developments critical to Dell’s global business objectives.
  • Work closely with Global Operations, Legal, and other company stakeholders on business priorities as they relate to government policies and policymakers.
  • Monitor, track, and influence relevant policy proposals; proactively inform relevant legal and business leaders of emerging policy trends impacting Dell’s business or compliance interests.
Desired Qualifications
  • Deep policy expertise or experience in international trade and/or export controls and related national security issues.
