About this role
Scribe goes viral on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook (and more) every day. Thousands of people discover Scribe on social media (and often their first reaction is “where has this been my whole life?!”). Over the last year, we’ve generated over 100 million impressions by partnering with influencers to create content promoting Scribe. Here’s one of our favorite videos that went viral and got 10M+ views
This is where you come in! We’re looking for a digitally extroverted influencer marketing specialist to take what we’ve built with Scribe’s influencer marketing program and help us take it to the next level. You’ll be managing your own roster of top-tier influencer partners to promote Scribe. You won’t be starting from scratch: you’ll join a team with 2 incredibly talented influencer marketers who are excited for you to join and take our program to new heights. Think: more partnerships (you’ll get to find, book and manage your own roster of talent), bigger and better partnerships (we’re working with larger and larger creators every day!), and even partnerships on new channels we haven’t explored yet (we’re super excited about this)!
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about social media, great at building relationships, process driven, incredibly organized, and is excited about using their expertise to help Scribe reach ambitious growth targets by raising awareness on social media.
Examples of what you’ll be doing
- Managing 50+ influencer partnerships at a time, from end-to-end, to meet your monthly quotas for views earned and dollars spent
- Prospecting for new influencer partners on various social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook)
- Communicating with influencers and their managers (mostly via e-mail) to negotiate and book promotional content for Scribe
- Deploying contracts and processing payments for each partnership
- Reviewing and providing feedback on all creative assets received, upholding our brand guidelines and quality expectations
- Daily maintenance of our Airtable CRM to keep your pipeline up to date
- Attending weekly team meetings with the Influencer Team
- Attending a weekly 1<>1 with the Senior Influencer Marketing Manager for pipeline review
You could be a great fit if:
- You’re digitally extroverted. In other words, you build relationships with people on the internet effortlessly, your personality shines through online just as well as it does offline.
- You are a social media connoisseur. You’re up to date on all social media platforms (especially: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube), and have a good eye for spotting emerging trends and platforms. You’re a true resident of the internet that understands the rules and customs of each social media platform and how to apply them to create content.
- Organization is a breeze for you. You have experience managing projects with organized systems and records.
- Experience managing relationships, especially with clients or external vendors.
- You’re comfortable with quotas and targets. Previous experience in any role with quotas or targets is a huge asset! Our influencer marketing team runs on ambitious (but realistic) targets and quotas and is measured against them often. You should be comfortable with (and maybe even enjoy) having clear targets each month.
- You have an ownership mindset and are excited to take responsibility for your projects and make decisions that will lead to their outcomes.
- You’re innovative and ready to look for new opportunities, set ambitious goals, and execute against them. You’re not afraid to try new things and develop new projects.
Qualifications
- You have 2+ years of experience in any performance-based role. It doesn’t have to be in influencer marketing! You might have experience as: a sales representative, account manager, brand and partnerships manager.
- You have 2+ experience in any client-facing role. Again, it doesn’t have to be in influencer marketing! It can be the same experience as your performance-based role if that was also client facing. We’d love to hear from you if you’re from a different background outside of influencer marketing!
- You’re comfortable managing a pipeline with strict quotas and targets. You’re energized by having clear monthly targets and are motivated to find new ways to keep raising the bar.
- You have experience with CRMs and email marketing software (like Salesforce, Hubspot, Mailchimp, PersistIQ or similar)
- You know your way around and love using low/no-code automation tools (like Airtable, Notion, Zapier) to automate parts of your work so that you can focus on the important stuff.
- You’re comfortable analyzing and making decisions with data. You’re comfortable with numbers, know your way around a spreadsheet, and words like median, CPM, and engagement rates don’t scare you. You know your numbers and can crunch them test a hypothesis (like whether a particular influencer deal was ROI positive or not).
Nice to haves:
- Previous experience building a social media following on any platform for any reason is an asset but not essential.
- If you’ve ever launched your own side hustle online, that’s a huge plus! We’d love to hear about it.
