Where You Fit
The Account Development Manager will have a strategic responsibility to develop new qualified leads and improve internal processes in support of our Biopharma Commercial business. The ideal candidate relentlessly pursues new business opportunities, is comfortable initiating customer engagements, and has an eye for process improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Deeply understand PathAI’s portfolio and value proposition to translational research customers, and able to articulate it clearly to prospective customers during initial engagements
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market by utilizing a portfolio of sources (including leads generated from website and events) to identify new biotech customer prospects
- Surface prospects and execute initial outreach and PathAI pitch, nurture relationships, and convert to sales qualified lead; handoff leads to business development
- Support maintenance of a comprehensive database of qualified leads for periodic marketing communications; in collaboration with marketing team
- Provide real-time feedback on messaging and collateral to inform continuous improvement of marketing materials; additionally, maintain an up-to-date repository of PathAI pitch materials
- Develop and maintain an inbound and outbound lead management process that encompasses the entire lead lifecycle
- Maintain a pulse on industry activities (e.g., M&As) that impact the opportunity pipeline, and periodically share an update on key trends shaping sales
- Drive periodic customer surveys and deliver insights to relevant internal stakeholders (e.g., Product and Marketing)
- Lead the RFP process for pharma customers, including maintenance of an up-to-date question and answer bank that informs accurate and consistent responses; collaborate with business development and other leads on RFP process
- Participate in additional sales enablement initiatives as relevant
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in the biological sciences
- At least 2 or more years of experience in sales within the life sciences/biotech industry with a track record of exceeding lead targets and/or sales quotas
- Strong email, phone and video conferencing skills
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in a complex space
- Demonstrated problem solving aptitude and experience with cross-functional communication and internal stakeholder management
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work streams independently
- Familiarity with different sales platforms (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce, GlobalData, Zymewire and other prospecting platforms)
Nice to Have
- Project managing experience
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or biotech
*We are open to remote work. Travel essential for some client meetings.
