Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience may be considered
  • Two (2) years Human Resources experience
  • Effective communication skills, to include: verbal, written, and listening skills; ability to engage and successfully interact with employees and managers at all levels within an organization
  • Good relationship-building, conflict resolution, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to analyze employee and financial data in order to develop recommendations and solutions
  • General knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Demonstrated ability to perform job duties with high degree of accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Good judgment and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive conversations and topics with discretion and tact
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Previous experience working with databases, including HRIS
Responsibilities
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for all staff regarding HR-related policies, processes, and resources
  • Provides professional advice and service to management on employee relations and performance management issues
  • Reviews, revises and manages job descriptions. Collaborates with the leadership team in the creation and/or consolidation of positions
  • Aids in the coordination and monitoring of the employee performance development process
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to identify continual improvements in departmental efficiency and services performed. Participates in the development and coordination of a variety of programs and activities associated with engagement, organizational performance, and other activities as assigned
  • Creates and maintains applicable electronic HR forms/templates
  • Ensures compliance by maintaining up to date knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Administers and maintains FMLA, ADA, other applicable federal and state programs, and unemployment activities
  • Collaborates with General Counsel's Office on processing HR-related investigations and complaints, including, without limitation, sexual harassment, discrimination, or other workplace harassment complaints. Assists in any necessary investigations and/or disciplinary actions
  • Maintains and ensures compliance of employee personnel records
  • Conducts, tracks and reports on exit interviews
  • Provides support and back-up to all HR functions to include: payroll benefits, recruiting, onboarding, and training
  • Other duties as assigned
