PPG introduces PPG ONE RANGE portfolio for onboard maintenance.

PPG introduces PPG ONE RANGE portfolio for onboard maintenance. PPG today announced the launch of the PPG ONE RANGE(TM) portfolio of five one-component marine coatings at the SMM 2026 maritime industry trade fair in Hamburg, Germany. Designed to simplify onboard fleet maintenance, the portfolio helps crews complete maintenance projects more efficiently with ready-to-use, one-component coating solutions. "Coatings maintenance is essential for extending vessel lifecycles, but preparation and application can be time-consuming for crews managing other operational responsibilities," said Ewout Bosman, PPG segment director, seastock, Protective and Marine Coatings. "With the PPG One Range portfolio, we focused on eliminating mixing requirements and simplifying application to help crews complete projects more efficiently." The portfolio's ready-to-use, one-component format supports a broad range of onboard maintenance applications with simplified product preparation, storage and handling and less waste. "The portfolio includes waterborne, alkyd and polyurethane technologies for both interior and exterior maintenance applications," said Kahina Ouchaou, PPG product manager, Protective and Marine Coatings. "Products in the portfolio incorporate technologies that support low volatile organic compound (VOC) compliance and low flame spread certification." PPG's commitment to simplifying onboard maintenance extends beyond coatings. At SMM, PPG will preview the PPG POWERPACK(TM) application tool, a portable, battery-powered system developed to improve application efficiency when used with the PPG One Range portfolio. "The PPG PowerPack tool allows crews to switch easily between roller and brush application using a single unit, reducing equipment changes and helping improve productivity," Bosman said. "Together, the PPG One Range portfolio and the PPG PowerPack tool demonstrate how we continue to innovate both inside and outside the can." PPG will showcase the PPG One Range portfolio and PPG PowerPack tool at SMM Hamburg, Sept. 1-4, in Hall B, stand 419. PPG introduces PPG ONE RANGE portfolio for onboard maintenance.

PPG introduces PPG ONE RANGE portfolio for onboard maintenance. MWN-AI** Summary. PPG (NYSE: PPG) has unveiled its PPG ONE RANGE(TM) portfolio, a groundbreaking suite of five one-component marine coatings, at the SMM 2026 trade fair held in Hamburg, Germany. This innovative portfolio is designed to streamline onboard fleet maintenance, enabling crews to efficiently complete maintenance projects without the complications of mixing coatings. Ewout Bosman, segment director for Protective and Marine Coatings at PPG, emphasized the importance of easing maintenance tasks for crews who are often overwhelmed with operational responsibilities. By providing ready-to-use, one-component solutions, the PPG ONE RANGE(TM) eliminates the time-consuming preparation and complex application processes traditionally involved in marine coatings. The portfolio caters to a variety of onboard applications by incorporating waterborne, alkyd, and polyurethane technologies suitable for both interior and exterior use. A significant benefit of these coatings is their compliance with low volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations and low flame spread certification, promoting safer and more environmentally-friendly practices in marine maintenance. Additionally, PPG is set to enhance the maintenance process further by previewing the PPG POWERPACK(TM) application tool during the trade fair. This portable, battery-operated system allows crews to seamlessly switch between roller and brush applications, reducing the need for multiple tools and enhancing overall productivity. PPG's commitment to innovation is evident in both the ONE RANGE(TM) portfolio and the POWERPACK tool, showcasing its role as a leading partner in the protective and marine coatings industry. Visitors at SMM Hamburg from September 1-4 can explore both offerings at Hall B, stand 419. For more information about PPG's protective and marine coatings, interested parties can visit ppg.com/pmc. MWN-AI** Analysis. PPG's recent launch of the PPG ONE RANGE(TM) portfolio at the SMM 2026 trade fair marks a significant innovation in the marine coatings sector. The introduction of one-component coatings specifically designed for onboard maintenance simplifies the traditionally complex and time-consuming processes associated with vessel upkeep. This move not only enhances efficiency for marine crews but also positions PPG to capture a growing market demand for reliability and ease of use in maintenance products. From a financial perspective, PPG's strategic focus on simplifying product preparation and reducing waste aligns with industry trends toward sustainability and operational efficiency. The resource-saving characteristics of the ONE RANGE portfolio, including low volatile organic compound (VOC) compliance and low flame spread certification, cater to an increasingly environmentally conscious market, potentially attracting a broader customer base. Investors should assess the potential for increased adoption of these new coatings among fleet operators looking to streamline their maintenance processes. The incorporation of innovative tools like the PPG POWERPACK(TM) application system suggests a comprehensive approach to enhancing productivity, further solidifying PPG's competitive edge against traditional multi-component systems. With PPG's reported net sales of $15.9 billion in 2025 and a robust operational framework across 50 countries, the company appears well-positioned for growth in the marine coatings market. Analysts may want to monitor key performance indicators such as market penetration, sales growth from the ONE RANGE portfolio, and customer feedback post-launch to gauge long-term profitability and effectiveness. In summary, investors looking for opportunities in the specialty coatings sector should consider PPG's innovative approach to marine coatings as a critical driver of future growth. The focus on operational efficiency and sustainability aligns well with global market trends, positioning PPG favorably for continued success in this industry. **MWN-AI Summary and Analysis is based on asking OpenAI to summarize and analyze this news release.
