Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current nursing license as a registered nurse in good standing.
  • At least two years of experience in a supervisory role in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or skilled care.
  • Proficiency with computer skills and Microsoft Office, including Windows, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to learn new applications.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell while performing the job duties.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and intermittently lift and support residents using proper body mechanics.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services to plan, organize, and direct the overall clinical operations of the nursing department in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of policies and procedures pertaining to the position, department, and personnel.
  • Develop and implement an active wellness program for residents in collaboration with the Activity Director.
  • Maintain orderly resident files and document pertinent resident information.
  • Prepare resident charges and submit reports to the Director for approval and billing.
  • Assess residents within 90 days before move-in, annually during residency, and when their condition changes.
  • Develop the initial Individual Service Plan within 72 hours of move-in and the comprehensive Individual Service Plan within 30 days of move-in, annually, or when the resident's condition changes.
  • Oversee resident care provided by the nursing department.
  • Investigate resident and family complaints or concerns regarding the nursing department, report findings to the Director, and ensure problems are resolved.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
