We are seeking a talented multi-disciplinary manager to define, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing quality processes. In this role, your contributions will directly drive product quality, speed to market, productivity, and profitability.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Build and maintain a high-performing quality organization through strong leadership, professional development, and hiring programs.
- Collaborate with product development, customer success, manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams to define manufacturing quality requirements and ensure quality is designed into Skydio products through the product development process.
- Define quality control strategy that improves incoming material, internal process, and outgoing product quality.
- Ensure defects are contained, failure root cause is determined, and corrective action is implemented and validated.
- Develop and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and work with analytics and business systems teams to continuously improve defect tracking and reporting systems.
- Utilize those systems to analyze and investigate defect trends, proactively identify and mitigate productivity and yield losses
- Drive cross-functional non-conformance reviews to classify, prioritize, and triage defects to appropriate teams
- Participate in early field failure analysis (EFFA) and ongoing customer support issue reviews to identify and resolve manufacturing quality issues
Requirements:
- Quality Management expert with broad experience with implementation of quality and continuous improvement processes across an organization.
- Experience in supporting manufacturing through multiple product cycles.
- Experience with quality inspection points in manufacturing, cosmetic criteria, yield metrics and reporting.
- Strong data processing and analytical skills (jira, SQL, MiniTab/JMP, Tableau)
- Enthusiasm to get a hands on understanding of complex problems to develop solutions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast paced environment to maximize effectiveness
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills
- Innate attention to detail and organization
