BillionToOne’s first product, UNITY, is the first and only non-invasive prenatal test that can directly screen an unborn baby and assess its risk for common and severe recessive gene disorders and chromosomal abnormalities, as well as fetal sex and fetal antigens, from a single tube of blood from the pregnant mother without paternal testing.

In 2023, BillionToOne launched two liquid biopsy products that will markedly improve oncology treatment and care. With Northstar Select™, clinicians will be able to select cancer therapies that will be most effective to each patient based on their individual genetic makeup. Northstar Response™ will enable clinicians to monitor a patient’s early response to these cancer therapies, by measuring minute changes in their ctDNA, which can reduce ineffective treatments and unwanted toxicity, lower costs, and substantially improve clinical outcomes.

We are looking a field-based professional Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Oncology with scientific and clinical expertise in oncology to help with the launch of our oncology portfolio of liquid biopsy products. The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Oncology has a great opportunity for growth as they will initially be the first MSL to join the team but will have the opportunity to grow and manage our MSL team as we grow. The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Oncology is a remote position and reports to our Chief Medical Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key liaison to Health Care Providers (HCPs) in the oncology space.
• Serve as a key member of the BillionToOne Oncology Medical Affairs team
• Develop relationships by engaging in scientific exchange with medical and scientific partners
• Support commercial team by providing impactful information that enhances the value and proper use of BillionToOne products
• Respond to HCP customer inquiries to provide focused and balanced clinical and scientific information that supports the appropriate use of or clinically differentiates BillionToOne’s products and services
• Contribute to development of provider and patient educational products
• Adhere to internal standard processes and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in a related science or health discipline
• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or similar position in oncology
• Expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel nationwide (up to 70%)

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses) (2) generous equity options offering, on top of (3) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid parental leave etc.).

For this position, we offer a total compensation package of $280,000, including a base pay range of $180,000-$200,000 per year.
