Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant accounting experience in public accounting and/or commercial finance and banking, asset management or loan accounting environment preferred
  • Familiarity with US GAAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience in complex accounting software
  • Familiarity with Nexus Payables or comparable software preferred
  • Experience with MRI GL system a plus
  • Experience with subsidiary companies and consolidated accounting a plus
  • Ability to organize, perform, and prioritize various functions to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple entities related to Terreva Renewables' operations
  • Post journal entries and reconcile bank accounts during month-end close
  • Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and analysis
  • Compile and organize supporting documents related to the monthly close
  • Analyze and collect monthly accounts receivables
  • Assist in preparing monthly and annual work papers for investors and/or external auditor
  • Assist with financial statement audits including preparation of supporting documentation
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliation and settlements
  • Train and support accounting staff
  • Document accounting policies, procedures and processes as needed
  • Provide financial analysis upon request
  • Assist in providing and preparing tax schedules for outside tax preparers
