What you’ll do

• Collaborate with designers to understand new product decisions, build back into the system when validated, and extend to engineering.
• Maintain, improve, document, and evolve our design libraries for various user needs.
• Build for accessibility upfront in the creative design process, and advocate for inclusive experiences across platforms.
• Communicate releases clearly to extended stakeholders, rationalizing decisions based on data, brand guidance, or accessibility.
• Create a collaborative working environment that will enable our design partners to build new experiences with our design system confidently.
• Own the full lifecycle of component design, token creation, and publishing to designers via our system Figma libraries. 

The must-haves

• 5+ years of experience in product design building experiences for end customers
• 5+ years of experience building a centralized or distributed design system at a company with 40+ designers
• Deep systems expertise to hit the ground running designing and publishing tokens & components, and higher level patterns
• Ability and desire to flex high & low to inform strategic decisions as well as execute detailed hands on work 
• Strong demonstration of visual craft and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively navigate ambiguity, build alignment and influence peers
• Excellent communication skills to articulate decisions and rationale
• An understanding of the broader design system community with a desire to innovate next generation systems, tooling and workflows
• Strong technical understanding to communicate effectively with engineering
• Understanding of driving accessible solutions at scale, across platforms
• Experience developing and evolving brand across a design system
