Job Description
As a Retail Sales Associate at The Plaza Boutique & Eloise Store, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional customer service and a luxury retail experience within The Plaza Hotel. You will engage with guests from around the world, build product knowledge, drive individual sales performance, and help create a polished and memorable shopping experience.
The Sales Associate supports both in-store and online sales, visual merchandising, inventory, order fulfillment, and daily boutique operations. Success in this role requires a genuine passion for hospitality, luxury retail, client engagement, and The Plaza and Eloise brands.

Compensation: $30.50/hour plus commission
Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, key responsibilities include:
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Sales & Client Engagement: Deliver attentive, personalized service to hotel guests, online customers, and internal departments. Develop strong product knowledge, build client relationships, increase average transaction value, and work toward individual sales goals.
- Luxury Guest Experience: Create a warm, polished, and service-focused environment that reflects The Plaza's standards. Work collaboratively with the retail team and provide additional support during peak business periods.
- Visual Merchandising & Store Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually compelling sales floor while following merchandising standards, store policies, and procedures.
- E-Commerce & Omnichannel Service: Fulfill BOPIS orders and assist customers purchasing through both in-store and online channels to provide a seamless shopping experience.
- Inventory Support: Assist with monthly floor sets, replenishment, stock organization, inventory counts, and accurate product placement. Communicate low-stock, high-demand, and slow-moving merchandise observations to leadership.
- Sales Awareness: Maintain awareness of individual sales goals, promotions, product performance, and guest feedback, sharing relevant observations with leadership to support both boutique and online sales.
- Operational Support: In a small-team environment, assist with stockroom operations, merchandising, inventory counts, order fulfillment, and guest service as business needs require.

Requirements:
- Flexibility to work varied hours/days based on business needs, including weekends and peak periods.
- On-site presence required; remote work not applicable.
- Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience.
- Physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods, and to move and handle projects up to 50 pounds throughout the retail outlets.
Qualifications
- Visual Merchandising expertise.
- Understanding of pricing strategies, promotions, and sales goals.
- Photoshop, photography skills, and content editor skills an asset.
- Marketing and social media interest.
- Previous experience in the hotel industry.
