Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field such as Materials, Chemical, Civil, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited or equivalent university.
  • Five years of related engineering experience.
  • Three years of experience in ADAS product development.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Pages.
  • Knowledge of competitive automotive ADAS systems, market trends, and safety protocols such as NCAP, IIHS, and NHTSA.
  • A clean driving record and the ability to drive test vehicles on public roadways.
  • Willingness to support one- to two-week development trips domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to adapt to major strategy shifts while ensuring work continuity and motivation.
Responsibilities
  • Set core objective performance targets for all ADAS features based on competitive benchmarks, translated voice of customer, and industry knowledge.
  • Work with the ADAS Functional Science simulation team to increase requirement simulation capability and apply it to programs.
  • Create and support the core validation plan for the test engineering team.
  • Provide impact assessments for product and feature changes.
  • Review and prepare materials and vehicles for leadership ride-and-drive events.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional issues affecting ADAS system performance.
  • Identify and fill gaps in a new, rapidly growing organization.
  • Support Performance Specialists in target-setting and waterfall processes starting from the Customer Car Profile, or Target Vehicle.
  • Develop and validate ADAS system performance on vehicles.
  • Support the Performance Engineer in defining the virtual and experimental performance development plan managed through the Integrated Test Plan, or PSI.
  • Ensure ADAS system calibration in collaboration with other departments and system suppliers.
  • Collect objective data to quantify subjective feedback or clarify the gap between current status and the goal or target when necessary.
  • Create ADAS feature know-how and support roadmap development.
  • Create benchmarks for competitors’ main ADAS systems and features.
Desired Qualifications
  • Seven years of related engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Tesla FSD or Chinese-market ADAS.
  • At least two years of related work experience at companies with premium or luxury brand positioning.
  • Understanding of client vehicle and electrical engineering development milestones.
  • Understanding of the V-model development process and requirements traceability.
  • Knowledge of automotive dynamics and vehicle-engineering variables affecting performance.
  • A master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
